Η σύνθεση ποικίλων μουσικών προσεγγίσεων, εργαλείων και ήχων, η χειμαρρώδης μουσική φαντασία και η δεξιοτεχνία καθορίζουν τον ιδιαίτερο χαρακτήρα του τρίο Širom που έρχεται για πρώτη φορά στην Κύπρο.
Περισσότερα από δώδεκα όργανα αξιοποιούνται δημιουργικά στο ρεπερτόριο των Iztok Koren, Samo Kutin και Ana Kravanja και άλλες τόσες καθιερωμένες μουσικές μορφές αποτελούν πηγή έμπνευσης για το σύνολο.
Ωστόσο, τόσο στην πράξη όσο και στην προσέγγισή τους, οι μουσικοί παραμένουν βαθιά αφοσιωμένοι στη δημιουργική τους διαδικασία με τρόπο που τους επιτρέπει να αποφεύγουν την απλή αναπαραγωγή των δεδομένων μοτίβων. Πρόκειται για μια πρωτότυπη, υφολογικά συνεκτική μορφή μουσικής έκφρασης, που ταλαντεύεται ανάμεσα σε ένα ευρύ φάσμα λαϊκών ηχοχρωμάτων και στοιχείων σύγχρονής ακουστικής ροκ για να καταλήξει σε έναν γειωμένο αλλά και μυστηριώδες μινιμαλισμό.
Η μουσική των Širom είναι ιδιότυπη: εσωστρεφής και στοχαστική, αλλά με τη δύναμη να πυκνώνει, να βαθαίνει και, όταν χρειάζεται, να εκρήγνυται σε ψυχεδελική ένταση.
Περισσότερο ένα ηχητικά περιπετειώδες συγκρότημα παρά ένα σύνολο δωματίου, οι Širom κινούνται με εντυπωσιακή φυσικότητα ανάμεσα στην ανεπιτήδευτη ενέργεια της παράδοσης και τον πειραματισμό, στη μυσταγωγία του ήχου και στη σύγχρονη αναζήτηση, χαράσσοντας με αυτό τον τρόπο τη δική τους ελεύθερη διαδρομή, την ιδιαίτερη ταυτότητά τους.
Στη συναυλία του το σχήμα θα παρουσιάσει επιλεγμένες συνθέσεις από τα τέσσερα άλμπουμ που έχει κυκλοφορήσει μέχρι σήμερα: I, I Can Be A Clay Snapper, A Universe That Roasts Blossoms For A Horse και The Liquified Throne Of Simplicity.

Performing in Cyprus for the first time, the trio Širom brings a distinctive sound shaped by an eclectic blend of diverse musical approaches, instruments, and sounds, infused with boundless imagination and virtuosity.
More than a dozen instruments are employed creatively in the repertoire of Iztok Koren, Samo Kutin, and Ana Kravanja, while an equal number of established musical forms serve as sources of inspiration for the ensemble.
Yet, both in practice and in philosophy, the musicians remain deeply committed to their creative process, eschewing mere replication of familiar patterns. The result is an original, stylistically cohesive form of musical expression that oscillates between a wide spectrum of folk timbres and elements of contemporary acoustic rock, culminating in a grounded yet mysterious minimalism.
Širom’s music is idiosyncratic: introspective and contemplative, yet capable of building density and depth, and, exploding with psychedelic intensity when required. More a sonically adventurous ensemble than a conventional chamber group, Širom navigates effortlessly between the unpretentious energy of tradition and experimental exploration, between the mystique of sound and contemporary inquiry, forging a singular artistic path and distinctive identity.
